Trans Tasman Online Southdown Show 2021

The first Trans Tasman Southdown Show was run online with judging on 5 December 2021. This was a chance to see a line up of Australian and New Zealand Southdowns.

There were three classes: Ewe, Ram and Pen of 5 Commercial Rams. Members of Southdown Australia and Southdown Sheep Society New Zealand were eligible to enter their sheep bred in 2020. Competitors submitted photos and video of their sheep for judging and 45 entries were received.

First place in Ewe born 2020 and Supreme Southdown of the Show: Neville Moorhead (Holly Farm NZ)

First place in Ram born 2020: Andrew Hogarth (Kirkdale Southdowns AUS)

First place in Pen of 5 Commercial Rams: Neville Moorhead (Holly Farm NZ)

There was also a points tally for the two countries with Australia coming out on top for 2021.
